Naguiltjiekloof

NaguiltjieKloof is a rustic private self-catering unit situated on a working farm called RoodegrondBoerdery, located between Patensie and the Baviaanskloof. The Scheepers family has been farming with citrus and potatoes on the property for several decades. A scenic drive into the kloof (ravine), requiring an elevated vehicle such as an SUV or bakkie, leads to a private cottage located among the trees. There is a cozy braai area outside with a stream that flows during the rain season. For cooler days, the cottage has a dover-stove inside. Lemoenhout (a type of wood) is available for purchase at a cost of R50 for a 25kg crate.

NaguiltjieKloof is an ideal destination for nature lovers seeking tranquility and outdoor adventure. Although there is no cellphone reception, various activities are available to keep visitors occupied. These include several hiking trails offering breathtaking views, where visitors may hear the chattering of baboons in the distance or birds whistling in the trees. At night, when sitting around the fire, one might hear the call of a night owl if listening quietly.
