Namib Naukluft Lodge

The Namib Naukluft Habitat is a 25,000-hectare private nature reserve bordering a World Heritage Site, spanning from the Namib Desert to the Naukluft Mountains. Located 230 kilometers south of Windhoek, Namibia's capital, the reserve hosts two distinct establishments: the Namib Naukluft Lodge and the Soft Adventure Camp.

The Namib Naukluft Lodge features 15 double rooms and two single rooms, all equipped with private patios, en-suite facilities, and fans. The main building includes a spacious veranda, lounge and bar area, dining room, and an outdoor boma for barbecue evenings under the African sky. The property is enhanced by indigenous plants and a swimming pool offering panoramic views of the surrounding granite hills.

The lodge offers various activities including safari experiences, game drives, bird watching, and walking trails. Daily sunset drives to the Marble Mountains are available, while 4x4 excursions to the Sossusvlei dune area and Sesriem Canyon can be arranged. As pioneers of Sossusvlei Shuttles, the establishment has been operating daily services from Windhoek, Swakopmund, or Walvis Bay for 25 years.

The Soft Adventure Camp, situated on open plains against granite hills, comprises 15 diamond-shaped chalets with canvas partitions. Each unit provides contemporary hotel comfort with en-suite facilities and private verandas. The camp includes communal dining and kitchen facilities, making it ideal for self-catering guests, groups, and special events. Guests can participate in lodge activities at additional costs.

Developed by nature enthusiasts Friedolf and Barbara Sturm, both establishments offer unique desert experiences, characterized by clean desert air, spectacular sunsets, and panoramic vistas. The reserve provides a diverse desert environment supporting abundant wildlife, suitable for both relaxed holidaymakers and adventure seekers.
