Nautinest Cottage

Nautinest Cottage is a self-catering accommodation located in Chintsa East, South Africa. It can accommodate a maximum of six people. Two out of the three bedrooms offer views of the sea, and the main bedroom has direct access to the sundeck. The cottage provides linen and bath towels, but guests are required to bring their own beach towels.

The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with amenities such as a gas hob, electric oven, double-door fridge/freezer, and a microwave. The lounge features a flat-screen TV, and guests need to bring their own DSTV card. Large folding doors in the lounge open onto the sun deck, which offers a magnificent view of the bay. Guests can enjoy their meals either at the dining counter or on the sun deck, which is surrounded by a wooden fence, while the perimeter of the cottage is unfenced.

Chintsa East is a laid-back seaside village located 50 km from East London and 200 km from Mthatha, at the start of the Wild Coast in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. Nautinest Cottage is within easy walking distance of a 7 km stretch of beach and local amenities, including restaurants, a convenience store, two beauty spas, tennis courts, and a bowling club. The area offers a variety of outdoor activities, such as swimming, horse riding, deep-sea fishing, surf fishing, rock fishing, golf, hiking, mountain biking, quad biking, paddling, surfing, and child-friendly play areas. Chintsa East is also home to the Emerald Vale craft brewery.

The cottage is surrounded by lush indigenous forests, offering an amazing variety of birdlife. The Inkwenkwezi Game Reserve, a 10-minute drive from Chintsa East, is home to the Big 5, giraffe, zebra, various antelope species, and other predators.

Nautinest Cottage features the following amenities: a main bedroom with a king-sized bed and en-suite bathroom with a shower, ceiling fan, and hairdryer; a second bedroom with a double bed and ceiling fan; a third bedroom with a double bed and ceiling fan; a second bathroom with a shower; a Weber and a gas Skottel Braai on the deck; an outside shower for rinsing off beach sand; and a sea kayak. Additionally, the cottage has a laundry room with an automatic washing machine and tumble dryer.
