Ndlovu Lodge

The Ndlovu Lodge is a unique enclave, created by contrasts in structure and surroundings, where visitors can enjoy great traditional African and Spanish cuisine and entertainment away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Visitors can make use of the Bushveld surroundings to enjoy leisure time, share romantic moments, mix with friends or family, and re-discover nature in peaceful surroundings.

The lodge embodies the feel of the African Bushveld, yet it is situated in the East of Pretoria, in the Zwavelpoort Region, a mere 15-minute drive from Menlyn. It is ideal for a quick getaway without even leaving the city. The property is covered with indigenous vegetation, and the African architecture of the lodge, inspired by old African safari camps, blends beautifully into the natural surroundings. The lodge is rustically decorated with a mixture of antiques and natural wood, creating a timeless structure, yet it has all modern amenities to offer guests comfortable accommodation in African surroundings.

The lodge features 14 beautiful rooms comprising eleven Premium rooms, one Premium Suite with Private Terrace, and two Luxury Suites. All rooms offer en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, tea and coffee-making facilities, DStv, and Wi-Fi. The rooms are either equipped with twin single beds or a double bed, and the Luxury Suites have king-size or queen-size beds. Guests can arrange breakfast on arrival as the rates are based on accommodation only.

Under an imposing thatch roof is the functional part of the lodge where drinks and meals are served, to be enjoyed while viewing the landscape. The cuisine is one of the lodge's best features, offering traditional South African dishes with a Mediterranean flair. Ndlovu Lodge offers each bride and groom the opportunity to turn their wedding day dream into a reality with tailor-made packages and a wedding coordinating team to assist every step of the way.

The lodge offers a welcoming package for honeymoon couples or those who want to recover the romance, which includes rose petals, red or white sparkling wine in an ice-bucket, champagne glasses, and chocolates. Nearby, there are a few golf courses, and the lodge can assist with day golf bookings at Silverlakes (18 holes), Woodhill (18 holes), and Waterkloof (18 holes).

For families, the lodge has a jungle gym with slides and swings to keep children entertained, as well as a pool to keep the family cool in hot summer days. The Luxury Suites each contain a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with a shower and a bath, air-conditioning, a flat-screen TV with DStv, free Wi-Fi, a bar fridge that can be stocked on request, and tea and coffee-making facilities.
