Nguma Island Lodge is situated on the banks of one of the largest lagoons in the North West of the Okavango Delta, Botswana. The lodge offers a unique African experience with comprehensive COVID-19 safety protocols and an on-site testing station to ensure guest safety and comfort.
The property features 26 Meru-style tents erected on raised wooden platforms, including 20 standard tents and 6 self-catering units, alongside 5 campsites. The standard tents are equipped with twin beds, en-suite facilities including flush toilets and open-air showers, electricity, and private reading verandas. Self-catering units offer additional kitchenette areas with BBQ facilities and washing facilities. Campsite guests have access to shared ablution facilities and can either pitch their own tents or request setup assistance from staff.
The lodge offers various activities including bird watching with over 400 species to observe, fishing experiences, traditional mokoro rides through the Delta, nature trails to secluded lagoons, and sunset cruises. A private bush airstrip provides convenient access for guests. The facility maintains off-grid power systems and offers Wi-Fi connectivity in main lodge areas.
