Nkala Safari Lodge is a luxury self-catering establishment situated in the Black Rhino Game Reserve, Pilanesberg, South Africa. The exclusive-use property features a thoughtfully designed layout that promotes privacy and tranquil relaxation in a pristine wildlife setting.
The accommodation consists of five luxurious units: a 70-square-meter honeymoon suite complete with its own lounge and kitchenette, and four 60-square-meter luxury suites, one of which includes an adjoining 25-square-meter room forming a family suite. Each bedroom is equipped with convertible king-size or twin beds, air conditioning, double shower, bath, outdoor shower, and separate toilet facilities.
The lodge's main communal area encompasses a fully equipped kitchen, lounge, dining area, and bar. Outdoor amenities include a covered entertainment area with both gas and wood braai facilities, a traditional boma, and a swimming pool. A dedicated viewing deck with lounge seating is positioned 70 meters from the main area, offering excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. The property also features a children's play area with jungle gym equipment and maintains a gym for guest use.
The lodge can accommodate up to 12 guests, with children under four years not counting toward the total occupancy. Two daily game drives are included with each stay, conducted by a resident qualified game ranger in a private safari vehicle. These drives, lasting approximately 2.5 hours each, are limited to 10 participants as per reserve regulations. Private vehicles are not permitted within the Black Rhino Game Reserve.
The property is secured by an electrified game fence and receives daily housekeeping service. While complimentary Wi-Fi is provided, signal strength may vary due to the remote location. Guests have access to all lodge facilities except the ranger's private quarters. Various child-friendly amenities, including cots and high chairs, are available upon request.
