Nqabara Eco River Lodge is a community-owned establishment situated on the Wild Coast of South Africa, positioned 3.5 hours north of East London and 8.5 hours from Durban. The lodge sits on a stunning promontory overlooking the confluence of the Nqabara and Nqabarana Rivers at their mouth, with the Indian Ocean beyond a beautiful belt of indigenous bush.
The property comprises four charming cottages that can accommodate up to 20 guests total, featuring a main lodge equipped with modern amenities including DSTV. The facility includes a large, fully furnished house with an en-suite bedroom containing a king-sized bed, a dorm-style room with six single beds and shared bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, lounge area, and dining facilities.
Located 50km east of Willowvale, the lodge represents the realization of a long-held dream of the Nqabara Tourism Trust and Community. Visitors have access to 10 kilometers of unspoiled beaches, making it an ideal destination for various activities including running, cycling, and fishing.
