Nyathi Rest Camp Addo Elephant National Park Sanparks

The Nyathi Rest Camp is situated in a secluded section of the Addo Elephant National Park, catering to guests who seek a more isolated experience within the park's confines. It is positioned on the banks of a floodplain, with each accommodation unit offering a breathtaking view of the floodplain through wide, open glass panels in the bedrooms and lounges.

The rest camp comprises eleven units, including eight two-sleeping units, one four-sleeper unit, and two family units that can accommodate six guests each. The architecture draws inspiration from African culture, while the interior decor of the units is influenced by the round leaves of the spekboom, a plant abundant throughout the park. Copper pipes and taps lend an authentic touch to the units.

On warm days, guests can step onto their individual wooden decks to enjoy the sights of animals arriving to drink from the waterhole, all while relaxing in their own private splash pool, a feature present in each unit. The units are equipped with essential amenities such as a two-plate hob, two single beds, air conditioning, basic utensils, a bathroom with a shower, bath, hand basin, and toilet, a braai area, DStv (limited channels), a fridge, a microwave, and an open-plan kitchen. It is important to note that smoking is not permitted within the units.
