Oakhurst Farm Cottages

The five Farm Cottages known as Kweenu201au00c4u00f4s Kaya, Awies Attic, Leenies Lair, Hansu201au00c4u00f4s Hollow, and Nicku201au00c4u00f4s Nook have been part of Oakhurst for the past 40 years. These cottages are situated along the edge of a forested section, intersected by a gurgling stream that flows during rainy periods. The cottages are approximately 15 meters apart, separated by hedges, and have a large lawned area in front of them. They are conveniently located within close proximity to various amenities such as the forest walking trail, a large swing, a kids' playground, and a communal braai area.

Each cottage is fully equipped for self-catering, featuring a well-appointed kitchen and a cozy living area with wooden floors. The living area opens out onto a large wooden deck and braai area. This space can be utilized for enjoying meals around the large wooden table or simply relaxing with a good book while appreciating Oakhurst's fine mountain air. Some cottages, including Leenies Lair, Hansu201au00c4u00f4s Hollow, and Nicku201au00c4u00f4s Nook, have permanent wood-fired hot tubs installed on their decks.

Each cottage comprises three bedrooms, one double room and two twin rooms, accommodating up to six people. The double bedroom is self-contained, while the two twin bedrooms are interconnected, with the second twin room only accessible through the first twin room. Each cottage has a central bathroom with a shower. During the chilly Garden Route winters, a fire roaring in the kitchen's wood-burning stove creates a perfect atmosphere for cozy farm winters.

Additionally, there is a two-bedroom family unit that sleeps five people. The main bedroom features a double bed, while the second bedroom has a single bed and a bunk bed with a ladder. It is fully self-catering and features a patio with beautiful views of the mountains and pastures. Linen and towels are provided, and the unit includes a wood-fired hot tub.
