Oasis Caravan Park, Camping And Chalets

The Oasis Caravan Park, Camping And Chalets is a resort situated in Uvongo, Margate, on the KwaZulu-Natal Lower South Coast. It is located under large shady trees, secluded from public view, and within 600 meters of the protected Uvongo Beach. The resort offers six individual chalets that can accommodate between two to eight people. Each chalet is equipped with a bedroom, an open-plan kitchen, lounge, and dining room, as well as a separate bathroom.

The resort has 33 Caravan and Campsites, most of which are secluded, making camping a pleasant experience. The sites are equipped with 15 amp electrical points and water taps close by. Most sites are terraced, grassed, and level, with ample shade and landscaping to ensure privacy. Brick-built braais and tarred roads are provided for added comfort. The ablution facilities are equipped with baths, washbasins, showers, and flush toilets. A laundry, ironing room, and scullery are adjacent to the ablution block.

Nearby attractions and activities include bowling, tennis, squash, miniature golf, restaurants, dancing, horse riding, rowing boats, and various fishing spots such as Orange Rocks, Pot Hole, Beacon Rocks, Shad Bay, and The Point. The beaches are protected with off-shore nets, and several tidal swimming baths with children's paddling pools are situated along the beach. Deep sea fishing can also be arranged. Other places of interest within a short distance include the Wild Coast Casino, Oribi Gorge, Crocodile Farm, Margate, and Port Shepstone.

The rates displayed are based on a minimum three-night stay per night and will increase for single or two-night stays. The resort has a playroom available during holidays and school holidays. Guests are required to bring their own caravans and tents, as the resort does not supply them. The price displayed includes four guests and a power point, with additional guests charged extra.
