Oasis Country Lodge

Oasis Country Lodge is strategically positioned on the N7 national highway between Cape Town and Namibia, serving as an ideal gateway to South Africa's Namaqualand region. Located in Klawer, Western Cape, the property is situated 2.5 hours from Cape Town and is surrounded by the majestic Maskam mountain range.

The lodge has a rich history as Klawer's first school, with the current owners carefully preserving its heritage features, including the original wooden floors in what were once classrooms and are now luxury guest rooms. The property has been thoughtfully expanded to include a caravan and camping site within its tree-filled gardens, along with multiple entertainment areas for guest use.

Accommodations feature air-conditioned rooms with en-suite bathrooms, Netflix-enabled televisions, minibars, and modern amenities. The property boasts a large swimming pool in the main entertainment area, complete with a lapa for guests to enjoy during summer months.

The establishment is particularly well-situated for exploring regional attractions, with whale-watching opportunities at the Olifants River mouth in Strandfontein to the west, the Maskam Mountain to the east, Clanwilliam's tea plantations to the south, and the flower routes heading north toward Namibia. During mid-July to mid-October, visitors can experience the renowned Namaqualand flower displays.

The lodge prides itself on its culinary offerings, serving meals prepared with fresh seasonal ingredients. Guests can enjoy both breakfast and dinner service, with management happy to arrange special BBQ experiences complete with picnic baskets upon request.
