Oewerzicht Tented River Lodge & Farm Cottages

Oewerzicht Tented River Lodge & Farm Cottages is located in the peaceful and picturesque Greyton Valley, approximately 9 kilometers from Greyton. It is an operational farm with fresh apples and pears available from January to May. The remaining 600 hectares of the farm consist of rolling wheat lands, cattle, and a herd of Reebok. Birdwatchers can delight in observing various species, including blue cranes, secretary birds, and large flocks of guinea fowl. Guests are free to hike around the premises or bring their mountain bikes to explore the farm. Fishing rods and tractor tubes are also available for use. There are two lovely braai facilities located on the riverbank for guests to enjoy.

The farm offers six stone cottages, each with an en-suite bathroom, and seven cottages in total. Welgeleu221au00b4 and Bergzicht are semi-detached and were the original farmhouse. The old blue gum ceilings and Oregon pine doors create a genuine farmhouse atmosphere. The cottages are situated on the edge of an apple orchard, approximately 100 meters from the Riviersonderend River, where guests can engage in excellent bass fishing. Each cottage has its own outside and inside braai facility, and the decor features old Oregon pine and oak furniture, enhancing the overall atmosphere.

Uitsig comprises four freestanding cottages set next to each other, approximately 300 meters from the river on a hill with spectacular mountain views. Each cottage has two bedrooms with double beds, two bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen living room area with inside and outside braai facilities. The Uitsig cottages have a shared swimming pool between the four. All seven cottages are fully equipped with essential appliances, and towels, linen, and wood are provided. Please note that the establishment only accepts two-night bookings over weekends, while during the week, one-night bookings are accepted.

Welgelee, Uitsig 1 & 4 have private hot tubs on their verandas, and the six stone cottages have a communal hot tub on the river bank. The location is ideal for individuals or groups and is perfect for a bride dreaming of a wedding in the country, set in a unique location on the banks of the Riviersonderend river, with the mountains serving as a perfect backdrop. Bergzicht is situated above the tennis court and has one bedroom with a queen bed and two single beds in the living area. It features two bathrooms, a small kitchen with an inside braai/fireplace, and a private verandah with a braai facility.
