Ohange Namibia Lodge is a tranquil mountain retreat nestled in the Otavi Mountains, east of Etosha. The property, whose name derives from the Herero word for 'peace,' is beautifully shaded by marula and tamboti trees and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountain range and a waterhole frequented by local wildlife.

The accommodation comprises ten stone-built thatched African-style bungalows thoughtfully positioned on a leafy hillside near the main building. These well-spaced units offer privacy while maintaining convenient access to central facilities. Each bungalow features comfortable twin beds, an en-suite shower room with open-plan facilities, and plaster-rendered walls with thatched roofs providing natural insulation. Modern amenities include mains electricity, ceiling fans, and tea/coffee making facilities. Each unit also boasts a shaded verandah ideal for wildlife observation, with illuminated footpaths providing safe nighttime access.

The lodge's facilities include a strategically placed swimming pool on a steep hill, complete with an attractive patio and thatched relaxation area offering unobstructed mountain views. The main complex houses a restaurant and patio where guests can observe wildlife at the waterhole, and evening meals are served under the stars around a campfire.

Located on the tarred B1 main highway, approximately 28 km north of Otavi and 30 km south of Tsumeb, the lodge serves as an excellent base for exploring Etosha National Park through the Namutoni Gate. The park is renowned for its diverse wildlife and bird species across its distinctive salt-pan landscape. The lodge's hosts, Karla and Justus, share their extensive knowledge of Namibia with guests, making it an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts, photographers, families, and couples seeking a peaceful retreat.
