Onbedacht Cottage

Onbedacht Cottage is a romantic two-sleeper cottage situated on a working cattle and sheep farm, located 60 kilometers from Graaff-Reinet. The cottage is surrounded by natural views and landscapes, offering a secluded and restful retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It features a natural reservoir for swimming, and outdoor facilities for braaiing under the night sky, allowing guests to rediscover simple living and take an energizing break from technology.

The cottage is fully equipped with all necessities and tastefully decorated with quaint, semi-traditional features. It is situated next to a historic two-hundred-year-old farmhouse, which is currently undergoing renovations, although no disturbing work is carried out while guests are present. Guests can enjoy strolling through the farmlands, picnicking on the mountain, watching the animals on the property while having breakfast on the porch, or cooking on an open fire in the evenings while stargazing.

The snug cottage features a relaxing double bedroom with an en-suite shower and bathroom, an open-plan kitchenette and lounge area, as well as outdoor spaces for guests to enjoy. It is owned and operated by Tanya, who has created a relaxing home-away-from-home experience that exceeds expectations through her many years of hospitality experience. The cottage is cozy, well-appointed, and equipped with a fireplace for winter and a reservoir for swimming in summer.
