Op-Die-Plaas Kamp

Op-Die-Plaas Kamp is a camping establishment located on the Sandrivier farm, surrounded by the Klein Swartberg Mountain on one side and the Elandsberg on the other. It offers an idyllic escape from everyday life, situated 8 km away from the renowned Seweweekspoort. Guests can embark on a journey through unspoilt nature, crossing over 20 picturesque river crossings along a well-maintained gravel road.

The campsite is located under magnificent blue gum trees or guests can choose a spot on the grass by the peaceful dam. Op-Die-Plaas Kamp operates without electricity, and warm water is provided by gas geysers, ensuring a comfortable and eco-friendly experience. Catch and release fishing is allowed, providing an opportunity for leisurely angling.

The establishment offers an immersive farm experience for all ages, including cow milking and accompanying the farmer to check on the grazing sheep and cattle. Guests can cool off in the pool or engage in various outdoor activities such as scenic hikes, mountain biking trails, and a 4x4 route. Located near the towns of Ladismith, Calitzdorp, and Laingsburg, Op-Die-Plaas Kamp provides access to unique attractions like ostrich farms, vineyards, cheese-making facilities, and a fascinating flood route.
