Oppi Dam

Oppi Dam is a location situated at the base of the Swartberg Mountains in the Schoemanshoek Valley, approximately 14 kilometers from Oudtshoorn, on the route leading to the renowned Cango Caves. It offers self-catering accommodation in the form of chalets and cottages, as well as an upscale campsite for those preferring a more self-sufficient experience. The chalets, cottages, and campsites are comfortably equipped, with bedding and towels provided in the former two. Each campsite features its own private ablution facility, braai area with a grid, table and benches, electricity, and power points.

The serene surroundings of Oppi Dam make it an ideal destination for family getaways and nature enthusiasts. Nearby activities include game drives, cycling trails, visits to Die Hel, Meiringspoort, Swartberg Pass, Cango Caves, Cango Wildlife Ranch, and Ostrich Farms. Additionally, an on-site shop called Lushof Wine and Deli offers a selection of local wines. The campsite is accessible for disabled persons, although the showers are not fully accessible.
