Oribi Gorge Guest Farm

The Oribi Gorge Guest Farm is situated on the Oribi Gorge, within close proximity to several seaside resort areas such as Shelly Beach, Uvongo, and Margate in South Africa. The breathtaking Oribi Gorge, located just 25 minutes inland from Port Shepstone, has been an 'African Grand Canyon'. Although not as deep or long, the comparison is justifiable as the Mzimkulwana River winds its way through lush pristine wilderness between the precipitous rocky gorge walls.

The Oribi Gorge Guest Farm offers accommodation in three self-catering guest houses: Shuttleworth House, Nerrily Cottage, and Lindile Lodge. All of them are fully equipped with modern appliances and share equal levels of comfort and homeliness, while differing in their decor and themes.

The Oribi Gorge Guest Farm provides visitors with two holiday experiences in one. Guests can easily access nearby beaches for seaside recreational activities, and also enjoy on-site amenities such as squash, tennis, bass fishing, 4x4 game viewing, horse riding, white water rafting, and rock climbing. Once checked in, guests can make day trips to Port Shepstone, Shelly Beach, and other coastal beach communities, while still being close to their accommodation on the farm.

Game viewing at Lake Eland Game Reserve is part of the Oribi experience, located just a few kilometers from the farm. Visitors can observe species such as blesbok, red hartebeest, kudu, impala, blue wildebeest, zebra, reedbuck, bushbuck, blue and grey duiker, oribi, serval cat, giraffe, and lynx. Other nearby activities include hiking in the Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve.
