The Osfontein Corbelled Guest House is a rebuilt stone house located in the Karoo region, an area known for its unique corbelled houses dating back to the early 1800s when they were originally built by the Voortrekkers. The house is constructed entirely of stone with a well-insulated roof, providing warmth in winter and coolness in summer.

The guest house consists of four rooms, one of which is furnished with a double bed and another with two single beds. The bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a flushing toilet, and a shower, with hot water available. The house is self-catering, providing the necessary cutlery, bedding, and towels. It features an electric stove, a fridge with a freezer, and is lit by candles to maintain the authentic atmosphere.

Inside, guests can find the original fireplace with a thick yellow wooden beam, now serving as a barbecue area. Additionally, fires can be made outside, and wood can be purchased at the nearby farmhouse for R20. The farmhouse is within walking distance and offers a swimming pool for guests to cool off. The surrounding wide-open spaces allow for long walks or mountain biking.

One of the highlights of staying at the Osfontein Corbelled Guest House is the incredible star-filled sky visible at night, adding to the unique experience of staying in the Karoo.
