Outdoor Arena

The Outdoor Arena consists of the De Rust Lodge, a self-catering guest lodge, and a quaint fishing village with log cabins constructed on stilts. It features a beautiful garden with waterfalls, dams, and abundant bird life, where visitors can relax.

The facility features an on-site restaurant that can accommodate 100 guests and cater to various culinary needs. The extensive menu offers options ranging from light meals to full suppers. The restaurant includes a fully licensed bar, a comfortable lounge, an outside seating area, and a wooden deck with picturesque views of Bonnievale.

Visitors can enjoy the Kap u201au00c4u00f2n Raps Golf, a nine-hole, par 3 course designed to improve short game skills. The Outdoor Arena maintains ponds stocked with a variety of fish species, including largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, carp, barbel, blue kurper, bluegill, whitefish, tench, and grass carp.

The Outdoor Arena breeds sterile grass carp for aquatic weed control purposes, and these fish are distributed nationwide to various locations such as golf courses, parks, farms, and reservoirs. Guided tours of the hatchery are offered, providing an interesting experience for visitors.

The self-catering log cabins are built on stilts, with each cabin featuring two en-suite bedrooms and a sleeper couch in the living room. All cabins are equipped with indoor braai areas and large decks.
