Over The Mountain Guest Farm

Over The Mountain Guest Farm is situated in the secluded hamlet of Herold, located along the famous Route 62, a 30-minute drive from either George or Oudtshoorn. The old Police Station, Post Office, Welsch House, and House of Grace have been converted into comfortable accommodation units while retaining the historical feel synonymous with the area.

The establishment can accommodate up to 26 people across its three accommodation offerings. The surrounding Outeniqua Mountains provide guests at Over the Mountain the opportunity to experience peace, tranquility, and relaxation, or for the more adventurous, engage in the vibrant cycling, hiking, art, and culinary culture that define this picturesque part of the South African landscape.

The property features beautiful gardens, a swimming pool, and family rooms, creating a family-friendly environment. The rooms have wooden floors, reeded ceilings, and vine-covered verandas. One of the units includes a fully equipped kitchen, one room with a double bed, another room with a 3/4 bed, and an additional 3/4 bed in the living area. The bathroom is en-suite to the main bedroom, offering both a shower and a bathtub.
