Owl And Elephant Lodge

The Owl And Elephant Lodge is a tranquil establishment where guests can relax and rejuvenate away from the hustle and bustle of busy everyday life. It offers an opportunity to experience the wonders of nature in a relaxed bush atmosphere. The property is adjacent to the Bushmans River, which is a popular spot for fishing and picnicking.

The lodge provides accommodation in eight tastefully furnished and well-appointed en-suite rooms, each equipped with a television and tea and coffee-making facilities. While it is primarily a bed and breakfast establishment, lunch and dinner can be provided upon prior arrangement.

In August 2016, the lodge added a unit of five self-catering, en-suite rooms to accommodate ten persons, along with a communal kitchen for groups seeking a more relaxed and informal dining experience.

The Weenen Game Reserve is located nearly on the doorstep of the lodge, being only five kilometers away. This well-run game reserve offers extensive game-viewing facilities, guided walks, and environmental education programs. More than 230 species of birds have been recorded within the reserve, and there are two hides overlooking a dam. The wildlife in the reserve includes giraffe, hyena, jackal, bushbuck, reedbuck, steenbuck, porcupine, and other animals.
