Oyster Bay Beach Lodge was constructed in 2004 from local pine wood and thatch to blend into the natural surroundings. The lodge is situated within casting distance from the ocean and offers fantastic sea views from all the rooms, as well as being just a short walk away from a 6 km unspoilt golden beach.

The accommodation comprises four luxury double rooms, each equipped with full en-suite bathrooms and stunning views of the ocean. Two of the units also feature a lovely private balcony. Each unit can accommodate up to four guests in a queen-size or twin beds, complemented with a sleeper couch for an additional two guests. Room amenities include tea and coffee-making facilities, fans, heaters, bar fridges, DStv, and Wi-Fi Internet access.

The large dining room serves homemade dinners, with seafood as a specialty, and breakfast options include English, health, or fisherman's brunch. The Bar-nic-les Pub is a small, intimate, fully licensed public bar that offers ice-cold drinks and light meals, and features spectacular sea views - dolphins and whales are commonly spotted from the deck. The bar is equipped with a large LCD TV screen for special sporting events, and also features an outdoor barbecue area for outdoor catering, weather permitting.

Oyster Bay is well-known as an angler's paradise and offers numerous nature walks along the beach or rocks. Bird watching can be very rewarding, and shore birds as well as forest-dwelling birds can be spotted. In the winter months, Southern Right whales are often spotted very close to shore, and Brydes or Mink whales are often spotted deeper out at sea. Killer and Humpback whales have also been sighted from the lodge. Dolphins are often seen playing in the waves directly in front of the lodge, along with the Cape clawless otters, Cape fur seals, and numerous shark species.

Kite surfing has become very popular at Oyster Bay due to the strong east and east winds blowing across the bay, while the large sand dunes have become popular with sand boarders. Day drives to Addo Elephant Park and the surrounding private game farms can be arranged, and the Brakkeduine 4x4 trail is only 12 km from the lodge.
