Panzi Lodge, nestled in the Guernsey Private Nature Reserve within the Greater Kruger Region of South Africa's Limpopo Province, offers an authentic wildlife experience in a serene bush setting. The name 'Panzi' (pronounced paan-zee) comes from the Shangaan language, meaning 'down below' or 'on the ground,' reflecting the lodge's position in a beautiful wooded gully surrounded by indigenous vegetation.
This Swiss-owned establishment, managed by South African staff, accommodates up to 20 guests in 10 spacious chalets. Each chalet features air conditioning, a private bathroom with both indoor and outdoor showers, small fridges, and hairdryers. The chalets are connected to the main lodge area via wooden walkways and offer 180-degree bush views through large sliding doors.
The lodge's facilities include a swimming pool, fully stocked bar, outdoor boma area, and a dining area serving daily breakfast and dinner. A new addition to the property is the Mountain View self-catering house, featuring two bedrooms ideal for families or small groups.
