Perlman House is a historic property located in Sutherland, Northern Cape, South Africa, situated approximately 343km from Cape Town International Airport. The establishment consists of three private self-catering cottages located on Piet Retief Street, collectively accommodating up to 10 guests.

Dating back approximately 150 years, the property was originally home to Barnett Perlman, a prominent Jewish merchant and his Polish wife. Barnett Perlman passed away during the 1918 flu epidemic and is buried in the local Jewish cemetery. The building maintains much of its historical character, featuring original Oregon wooden floors and window frames with old glass panels in several rooms. The thick stone walls provide natural temperature regulation, keeping the cottages cool in summer while offering cozy warmth in winter.

The property is centrally located to various Karoo towns including Calvinia, Middelpos, Williston, Fraserburg, and Matjiesfontein. Sutherland attracts visitors year-round, with winter bringing snow and cold conditions, summer offering stellar stargazing opportunities, and spring featuring wildflower displays following good winter rains.

Each cottage is equipped with modern amenities while maintaining its historic charm. Features include fireplaces in select rooms, private entrances, secure parking, and outdoor entertainment areas. The property is particularly suitable for family gatherings and special occasions, offering guests an authentic experience of traditional Karoo hospitality in a historic setting.
