Phezulu Safari Park

PheZulu Safari Park is an exceptional tourism destination located in Botha's Hill, just 35 kilometers from central Durban, South Africa. The picturesque park offers stunning views of the renowned Valley of a Thousand Hills and operates daily from 8am to 4:30pm, closing only on Christmas Day and during the Comrades Marathon.

The park features diverse attractions including a Reptile Park hosting both venomous and non-venomous snakes, crocodile enclosures, and a tortoise park. Visitors can experience authentic Zulu culture through performances by the famous Gasa clan, scheduled multiple times throughout the day. The park also offers guided 4x4 game drives in open vehicles, including special sunset drives that require advance booking.

A unique "Fear Factor" experience allows guests to dine within the crocodile enclosure, though advance booking is essential and alcohol is prohibited. The Nguni Cafe provides dining options with spectacular valley views overlooking the private game reserve.

Accommodation options are varied and comprehensive. The Lodge House features five tastefully decorated rooms, four with en-suite facilities, complemented by a lounge with a pool table, bar, fireplace, WiFi, and DStv. Self-catering units are also available, each designed for maximum privacy and equipped with braai areas and secure parking. The Lodge can be rented as a complete 12-sleeper unit and serves as a conference venue.

Additional facilities include a Creature Cave showcasing frogs, lizards, and exotic reptiles, a curio shop offering clothing, home decor, and African crafts, and a children's jungle gym. The venue also caters to school tours, children's parties, and offers shield-making demonstrations and manufacturing.
