Plains Camp features four luxury African explorer-style tents, all of which are en-suite with hot running water and overlook the spectacular Timbitene plain and waterhole. The camp is built in an authentic pioneer tradition and is raised on wooden decks. Stylishly decorated, the 8-bed camp offers the tranquility of a 19th-century naturalist's retreat, complete with an Africana book collection and antique treasures reminiscent of a golden era.

No concrete was used in the construction of Plains Camp; all structures are made of canvas and wood. The camp was specifically designed for low energy consumption and utilizes solar power and limited generators for its power needs. Plains Camp is situated in the middle of a 12,000 ha private wilderness concession within the Kruger National Park, ensuring superb game sightings and a sense of seclusion from the rest of the world. The camp is located close to Skukuza and is easily accessible by road or air.

Plains Camp offers Rhino Walking Safaris, which allow guests to discover nature's hidden wonders through specially tailored walking trails within the 12,000 ha private wilderness concession, an area noted for excellent game viewing opportunities. The camp features twin explorer-style tents with en-suite bathrooms. Guests are required to be at Rhino Post Safari Lodge no later than 1:00 PM for their transfer to Plains Camp at 2:00 PM. Please note that the minimum stay at Plains Camp is two nights.
