Poortje Game Farm is a game farm located in the grasslands of the Free State, accessed via a serene gravel road. It consists of three beautiful stone cottages and two wood cabins surrounded by ancient rock walls and kraals shaped by a vibrant farm history. Several species of game traverse the farm and gather in the idyllic valley near the Vaal River.

The accommodation is intimate, particularly accommodating groups of friends or family for special events. Due to its secluded location, it is suggested that guests stay more than a single night. Visitors can experience the tranquility of the Free State with an array of wildlife on the farm, or walk with undisturbed freedom around the farm with cattle, sheep, and fresh air for the whole family.

Poortje Game Farm offers a perfect breakaway opportunity from the busy city life to a peaceful farm where stars fill the night sky, and fresh air clears the mind. It is located an hour's drive from the Vaal Triangle, JHB, and the East Rand. Life's pace slows down to a tranquil walk among the game in the area. Outdoor activities like game watching, bird ringing, and hiking trails are available.

Each cottage is equipped with a double bed and two single beds all in one room with a separate bathroom, ideal for a family of four. The cottages are powered by 12V solar-powered lighting, and car-charging facilities for mobile devices are available. Additional mattresses can be added to the cottages upon request. The cottages are fitted with a fireplace, toilet, washbasin, and cupboard with a rustic touch.
