Porcupine Ridge Guest House is a stylish and informal country home retreat located in the scenic Panorama Route, in the heart of the mountains. It is situated five minutes away from the Sabie Village and 40 minutes from the renowned Kruger National Park. The guest house is perched above an old gold mine and part of the original mining village. It has been extensively remodeled to combine Old World charm with modern comforts.

The guest house offers a friendly ambiance, inviting guests to relax and unwind amidst rambling gardens, abundant bird life, and glorious mountain scenery. The estate features lovely walks through indigenous bush, grasslands, and plantations, where guests may spot monkeys, duiker, mongoose, bush babies, and other small game. A highlight is a spectacular waterfall with a deep pool for swimming.

Porcupine Ridge Guest House has five immaculate en-suite bedrooms, a comfortable guest lounge with satellite TV and a fireplace, a spacious dining room, and two large, covered verandahs for relaxation and meals. All bedrooms have seating areas, beverage trays with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and rusks, as well as amenities like hairdryers, clock radios, ceiling fans, heaters, electric blankets, and generous bath sheets. The rooms feature quality queen-size or twin beds dressed with white percale linen and pure silk duvets. Two superior rooms are extra spacious with lovely views, bar fridges, and complimentary sherry and chocolates. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with either a bath or shower.

The guest house serves leisurely breakfasts comprising a cold buffet of juices, cereals, yogurts, homemade seasonal fruit salad, fresh fruits, nuts, seeds, and a variety of breads and pastries, complemented by a cooked breakfast and a choice of teas and locally grown coffee. Delicious dinners are available upon request.

Porcupine Ridge Guest House is perfectly situated for easy access to a variety of attractions and activities. Sabie is famous for its forests, waterfalls, trout fishing, mountain biking, and hiking. Guests can tour the magnificent Panorama Route, including beautiful waterfalls, God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes, and the Blyde River Canyon. Golfers will find a variety of courses within an hour's drive.

The guest house offers privacy, seclusion, peace, and quiet amid gorgeous mountain surroundings, making it a perfect romantic getaway. Children aged 6 and above are welcome, and they can enjoy the huge garden, open spaces, and join the early morning walk with the two friendly golden retrievers.
