Protea House

Protea House offers accommodation in Theresa Park, a suburb located in the northern part of Pretoria. The establishment provides modern and comfortable lodging for guests. It is important to note that there are no televisions installed in the bedrooms, although a communal TV lounge is available adjacent to the rooms. This lounge is equipped with OpenView HD channels, but does not offer DStv. Additionally, Wi-Fi connectivity is not available on the premises.

The first floor features a communal balcony that guests can access and utilize. All rooms are furnished with coffee and tea making facilities for the convenience of the guests. Visitors have the option to choose between the Angelier Main Bedroom, Protea Room 1, or Eagle Room 2 during their stay.

The Angelier Main Bedroom is equipped with air conditioning and has a small private balcony. The en-suite bathroom in this room has not undergone recent renovations, but it is clean and features a shower over the bath, a basin, and a toilet. Protea Room 1 and Eagle Room 2 do not have air conditioning, but desk fans are provided. These two rooms can be booked together, making them an ideal accommodation option for families of four. Both rooms have double beds and share a communal bathroom with a bath and shower. Upon request, a safety door separates these rooms from the rest of the house.

An additional bathroom with a shower is available on the ground floor for guests to use. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided, and meals can be arranged upon request. The rooms are serviced daily by the staff.

Adjacent to Protea Room 1 is a TV room equipped with a small fridge, a television, and access to the communal balcony on the first floor. Guests are welcome to utilize this space, but it is not recommended for children due to the presence of an open swimming pool and stairs in the vicinity.

Protea House is conveniently located 9 km from the Onderstepoort Veterinary Institute, 12 km from the National Zoological Gardens, the Union Buildings, and Loftus Versfeld Stadium, and 18 km from Medunsa.
