Pungwe Bush Camp is situated in the remote and undeveloped southern portion of the Manyeleti Reserve, on the northern border of the Sabi Sand Reserve and the eastern border of the Kruger National Park. It has unfenced boundaries with both of these iconic reserves, allowing for free movement of animals between the three reserves. Manyeleti is renowned for its large concentrations of game and relatively low levels of development, guaranteeing exceptional game viewing with minimal vehicle densities.

With only 4 en-suite meru-styled tents, Pungwe Bush Camp offers the kind of intimacy one finds in a truly unique authentic safari camp. The thatched roofs over each of the large tents ensure that the interiors remain cool in summer and mild in winter. The en-suite bathrooms feature free-standing hot showers, large baths, flushing toilets, and intricately designed basins, providing all the creature-comforts one expects. Each of the tents offers either twin or king-size options under four-poster style mosquito nets, providing protection and an ambiance reminiscent of a bygone era, further enhanced by the soft glow of lanterns.

The food at Pungwe Bush Camp is wholesome and often cooked over an open fire using locally sourced fresh produce. It caters for vegetarian requirements, and although remote and off the grid, the luxury of ice is always available. Pungwe Safari Camp has been operating on the same site for over 24 years, offering memorable safaris of real value to its guests. Its ethos is to deliver a truly authentic safari experience with limited impact on the environment. It believes that the essence of any safari is best captured in the sights, sounds, and smell of the bush, and it endeavors to create an environment in which these elements take center stage so that guests have a life-altering experience.

Pungwe Bush Camp offers a small, intimate, 'Back to Africa' en-suite tented experience, with open Land Rover game drives and bush walks, allowing guests to see everything from the 'Big Five' to the 'Small Five'. Meals are cooked on an open fire, and the camp is unfenced, with oil lanterns and 'donkey boilers'. Each double-bedded room has an en-suite bathroom, rustic wardrobe, easy chair, tea & coffee station, and mosquito nets. Each room also has a small veranda from which guests can relax while bird-watching or just absorbing the true essence of the bush.
