Pure Nature Familodge is a family-owned and operated private game reserve located in South Africa's Eastern Cape, positioned at the end of the famous Garden Route. The 200-hectare malaria-free reserve is situated near Paterson and borders the Addo Elephant National Park, with Port Elizabeth Airport being the nearest major transport hub.
The property offers five distinct accommodation options, all specially designed to cater to families with children of all ages, couples, and groups of friends. The accommodation includes three houses (Little Canyon House, Dassie Rock House, and Owl House) and two luxury tents (Addo Valley and Leopard Valley), each featuring well-equipped facilities and stunning views of the surrounding landscape and Addo Elephant National Park.
The reserve is home to a variety of non-dangerous wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, ostriches, and various antelope species such as kudus, nyalas, waterbucks, and impalas. Due to its proximity to Addo Elephant National Park, guests have high chances of seeing or hearing elephants, buffalos, and lions.
The lodge offers numerous activities within an hour's drive, including visits to the Addo Elephant National Park, beach excursions, adventure activities, and various safari options. A new addition to their offerings includes a traditional South African "Braai" (barbecue) experience at the Colchester Dunes, which features the highest dunes in South Africa.
The property also includes a petting zoo with domesticated animals, making it particularly appealing for families with young children. The location serves as an ideal final destination for South African holidays, with convenient access to both Cape Town and Johannesburg through Port Elizabeth Airport.
