Puschka Farm

Puschka Farm is a pet-friendly lifestyle farm situated in the Naauwpoort Valley, which is located in the foothills of the majestic Magaliesberg mountain range. The Hex river meanders through the valley and the farm property. It is an ideal location for enjoying nature, and the area is renowned for its abundant birdlife, making it a prime destination for bird watchers. The farm provides good Vodacom and Cell C reception, but the MTN network coverage is poor.

The farm offers three self-catering accommodation units: Puschka House, Puschka Writers Cottage, and Puschka Stone Cottage. The Writers and Stone Cottages are ideally suited for couples seeking a tranquil and romantic getaway, while Puschka House is more suitable for families and group gatherings.

Puschka House is situated on the opposite side of the river from the main farmhouse, surrounded by towering gum trees that lend it a quintessential South African farmhouse ambiance. The spacious house features four bedrooms, accommodating up to eight guests, with three bedrooms featuring queen-size beds and one bedroom with two single beds. The four bedrooms are accessible from the living area and share two bathrooms and a separate toilet. The living and dining area is equipped with a fireplace and a TV with DStv. The large kitchen features an old-fashioned wood-burning stove, perfect for chilly winter evenings. Guests can relax on the stoep while enjoying a braai or cool off in the private plunge pool. Puschka House is rented out as a single unit.

Puschka Writer's Cottage is located on the same side of the river and features one bedroom with a queen-size bed, a living room with a wood-burning fireplace, a well-equipped small kitchen and dining area, and a bathroom with a shower. Outside, guests can enjoy a natural plunge pool and a stoep with an adjacent braai (barbeque) area. The cottage operates off-grid, with a 12V lighting system and a small inverter for charging cell phones and laptops.

Puschka Stone Cottage is situated on the opposite side of the river from the other two cottages, approximately 100 meters from the main farmhouse. It features one bedroom with a queen-size bed, a living room with a wood-burning fireplace, a well-equipped small kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower and bath. Outdoor amenities include a natural plunge pool, a stoep, and a braai (barbeque) area under the trees. Like the Writer's Cottage, the Stone Cottage operates off-grid, with a 12V lighting system and a small inverter for charging electronic devices.

During a visit to Puschka Farm, guests can embark on a hike to the top of the hill for breathtaking views of the valley. Many visitors enjoy their sundowners on the rocky outcrops while taking in the scenic vistas. There are also a couple of picnic spots along the river.

Both Puschka Stone Cottage and Puschka Writers Cottage are ideal for romantic getaways, offering privacy and exclusive use of the facilities. Additionally, these accommodations are pet-friendly.
