Quaggasfontein Private Game Reserve is a secluded reserve located near the town of Colesberg. It is situated in the vast and extensive Karoo region, and its sole focus is to maintain the simplistic principles of life that are tangibly found in its unique environment. The reserve offers a calming existence through its operational variety of businesses.

The 28,000-hectare reserve features unique riparian and semi-mountainous habitats, which lend themselves to a balanced composition of species. Visitors can encounter herds of both small and large herbivores, ranging from the timid Springbok, once native to the Karoo, to the burly Cape Buffalo. The reserve's slogan, "Where Quality Roams," perfectly captures the essence of its wildlife experience.

The lodge on the reserve has been restored with an emphasis on natural materials. It features a lapa/barbecue area located about 10 meters from a water hole frequently visited by various species. A stone wall surrounding the lodge allows for close-up game viewing.

The Lodge comprises two sets of buildings. The first contains a massive bar/lounge/dining area, a double kitchen, and three staff suites. Adjacent to this complex are six en-suite double bedrooms (with showers only), one of which has a small private garden. All rooms are equipped with coffee-making facilities, fans, fridges, and minibars.

The reserve prides itself on the tame nature of its wild animals and strives vigorously to maintain this state in order for guests to view and photograph the animals in their natural habitat at close range.
