Raptor Rise is a working olive farm, cattle farm, and retirement home for horses that offers several well-appointed accommodation options for visitors. It is located in the 'Valley of Abundance' in Tulbagh, approximately 120km from Cape Town and situated in the heart of the Western Cape Winelands. The beauty of the location is defying description. The hosts, Jeremy Mackintosh and Robyn Hamman, have made efforts to provide guests with a blend of comfort and privacy, ensuring that each suite has unique views of the magnificent setting, quality finishes, crisp white linen, and many special touches to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The farm offers a variety of mini and proper self-catering accommodation options suitable for small, intimate getaways as well as larger gatherings and celebrations of up to 30 people. Guests can enjoy the privacy of their own en suite room combined with catering facilities available in the Feedroom, The Barn, or the Foundry. Tulbagh is renowned as a wedding town, and Raptor Rise provides a special location and relaxed approach for celebrating anniversaries or other important occasions, allowing families to spend quality time together. Conferencing facilities are also available on-site.

Raptor Rise is often a host location for the Cape Epic, and the farm offers well-mapped and marked MTB trails suitable for both beginners and experienced riders. The valley also offers a selection of hiking trails, providing opportunities for lounging by the poolside or exploring the surroundings. The farm is named after the birds of prey that ride the thermal currents created by the combination of the valley and mountains in the area, with some of the rooms named after the smaller birds that abound in the valley.

Guests are permitted to walk, run, or cycle on the farm and some of the neighboring properties, but are advised to check with the reception for specific details. One of the largest paddock rooms offers views of grazing farm animals and features a queen-size bed, an en-suite bath/shower combination, a kitchenette, and a private patio where guests can relax and enjoy the breathtaking surroundings.
