Red Mountain House

Red Mountain House is a distinguished 4-Star establishment, recognized by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa, located in the heart of Clarens. Since its establishment in 2003, it has become a prominent landmark in the village, welcoming guests from around the world.

The property features six en-suite luxury rooms and a self-catering apartment on the first floor. Each luxury room accommodates two guests, while the apartment can host up to six people. All rooms open onto a shared balcony offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and Market Square. The accommodation is elegantly furnished with turn-of-the-century antiques, four-poster beds, fine linens, and Persian carpets, creating an atmosphere of old-world charm.

Each luxury room includes a sitting area with an open fireplace and Morris chairs, where guests can enjoy complimentary refreshments upon arrival. The rooms feature fully tiled en-suite bathrooms with both shower and bath facilities, wall heaters, under-tile heating for winter comfort, and ceiling fans for summer cooling. All accommodations are equipped with DStv, complimentary WiFi, and mini-bar fridges.

The self-catering apartment offers a more contemporary ethnic aesthetic and includes one bedroom with flexible bedding options, a double futon sleeper couch in the lounge, a private balcony with mountain views and braai facilities, and a well-appointed kitchen. It can be combined with the Standard Room via interleading doors to create a larger six-sleeper unit.

The ground floor of the complex houses an Italian restaurant, Bocca di Lupo ristorante, B-You day spa offering various treatments, and Something Else gift shop, which sells African-themed curios, jewelry, and branded clothing. While breakfast is not included, numerous restaurants are within walking distance of the property.
