It lies on the southern foothills of the rugged Touwsberg Mountains and provides an abundance of small game, birdlife, and flora, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers and hikers. The region is located between the mountains of the Cape Fold Belt, including the spectacular Swartberg mountain range with peaks exceeding 2000 meters, as well as the Langeberg, Outeniqua, Kammannasie, and Kouga mountains to the south.

The accommodation at Rietfontein Guest Farm is comfortable and unpretentious, emphasizing the beauty of the breathtaking natural surroundings. The open-plan accommodation features a kitchen, dining area, and sleeping quarters with a double bed and two single beds. There is a separate bathroom with a shower, basin, and toilet. All bedding, towels, and kitchen equipment are provided, and guests only need to bring their favorite food, wine, and beverages.

Rietfontein Guest Farm offers self-catering cottages in the Klein-Karoo region, with each cottage having two bedrooms and accommodating up to four people.
