River Cottage

The River Cottage is a self-catering accommodation nestled in the remote Witzenberg Valley, perched dramatically on a cliff overlooking the Olifants River. The property is specifically designed to encourage outdoor engagement, offering activities such as hiking, fishing, kloofing, and mountain biking, while also serving as a peaceful retreat.

The accommodation can host up to nine guests, with a comfortable maximum capacity of six adults and three children. The layout features two main bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a loft area, complemented by an open-plan living space. The primary bedroom includes a queen-size bed with an en-suite shower, toilet, and washbasin, while the second bedroom, also featuring a queen-size bed, comes with an outdoor shower and washbasin. The loft space, accessible via ladder, contains three single beds and is ideally suited for children.

The cottage boasts a fully equipped kitchen with modern amenities including a stove, oven, and fridge-freezer, along with complete cooking and dining implements. The spacious open-plan living area features a sleeper couch and fireplace, extending onto a wraparound deck that captures stunning views of the river and surrounding mountains. Additional amenities include a dedicated braai area for outdoor entertaining, while the main living space includes a six-seater dining arrangement and a shared bathroom.
