River Lodge

River Lodge Vredendal is located in the heart of the Olifantsriver Valley, approximately three hours' drive from Cape Town and two and a half hours from Springbok. The lodge is a popular destination for tourists, families, and visitors from various places, offering a combination of South African country cuisine, spectacular gardens, excellent facilities, relaxing accommodation, friendly staff, and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

River Lodge comprises 10 self-catering thatched roof chalets, with six chalets featuring double beds and four chalets with single beds. All the chalets are air-conditioned, and a large swimming pool is available for guests who wish to cool off. For those preferring to be served, breakfast is offered in the dining room, while lunch and dinner are available at nearby restaurants. Additionally, there is a lapa with an indigenous flavor, particularly suitable for private functions.

The thatched-roof chalets at River Lodge feature a rustic and cozy charm. Each chalet has a private entrance and a small patio, perfect for enjoying intimate sundowners. River Lodge is an ideal holiday destination for families, with a garden and large trees where children can safely play while parents relax and enjoy the songs of various bird species.

The chalets are equipped with air-conditioning, bar fridges, heaters, irons and ironing boards, TV with MNET channels, internet connectivity, and facilities for making tea and coffee. Bed linens and towels are provided, and the chalets are non-smoking. Some chalets have double beds with sofa beds suitable for children under 12 years old.
