River Rock Lodge

River Rock Lodge is a tranquil self-catering establishment located on the banks of the Vaal River, offering guests a serene countryside experience. The property is particularly appealing to bird enthusiasts, featuring numerous bird species, and provides excellent private fishing spots along with three explorable islands.

The accommodation consists of country-style chalets designed for two guests, each equipped with private bathrooms, television, air conditioning, and fresh linens and towels. Additionally, there is a cottage that features an en-suite queen bedroom with two bathrooms, a fitted kitchen, and a lounge area, which can accommodate two additional young children.

Located in Parys, just 45 minutes from Johannesburg, the lodge is situated in a town rich with attractions including two golf estates, horse shows at the Dome (one of the country's largest indoor arenas), antique shops, heritage sites, and various monumental attractions. The area offers numerous outdoor activities such as river rafting, cycling, mountain biking, game drives, guided walks, swimming, ziplining, and abseiling.

The property features garden and river views, and welcomes small pets. Facilities include a swimming pool, braai/boma areas, secure parking, and OVHD TV services. Smoking is not permitted inside the chalets, and weekend bookings require a minimum two-night stay.
