River View Resort

The River View Resort is an upmarket accommodation offering located in Bloemhof. It provides self-catering facilities suitable for families. The resort comprises four chalets, each with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The chalets are fully equipped, including linens and towels. Each unit features an open-plan kitchen that is fully equipped for self-catering purposes, as well as a TV room with DStv. The chalets are outfitted with built-in braais, and every room is air-conditioned.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available for overnight guests. The resort includes a lapa that can accommodate up to 150 people, making it suitable for events such as conferences, weddings, and family gatherings. The lapa is equipped with a large screen TV with full DStv, a pool table, table tennis, darts, and a braai area. Menus are available, and rates are adjusted based on the chosen menu.

Guests have access to a heated pool and separate parking facilities. Fishing decks are situated 20 meters from the chalets on the banks of the Vaal River, providing an ideal location for avid anglers. The nearby Bloemhof Dam Reserve is home to a diverse array of plains game, including large herds of springbok, black wildebeest, eland, and gemsbok. Over 250 species of birds have been recorded in the reserve, including rare waterfowl found on the dam.

The Bloemhof Dam is open for various water sports, and powerboat launching facilities are provided. One bedroom in each chalet has a double bed, while the other rooms have single beds. Every room in the chalets is air-conditioned. The kitchens are open-plan, and the TV rooms feature DStv. Each unit has a braai area. The rate for one person is R500, for two people sharing is R375, and each additional guest will pay R200 thereafter.
