Riverlea Farm

Riverlea Farm features Clearbrook Cottage, which provides comfortable and spacious accommodation with views of the Southern Drakensberg within a working farm environment. The cottage offers facilities for fishing, as trout and bass are available in the dams, and developed single tracks for mountain biking, trail running, or walking. Guests can also enjoy paddling on the dams, swimming in summer, and excellent birding opportunities.

Clearbrook Cottage sleeps eight and is fully equipped for self-catering, with four double/twin en-suite bedrooms, a cozy lounge with a large fireplace, and an open-plan kitchen area. It has a UPS unit installed to provide lighting during load shedding, and a gas hob for indoor cooking during load shedding. The cottage opens onto a lawn situated on the shore of Hesketh Dam, offering spectacular views of the Southern Drakensberg across the water. The dam is stocked with trout, and bass are active in the warmer months. The setting is peaceful and private.

The cottage is serviced in the mornings, and the bedrooms are spacious, allowing for extra mattresses or camp cots. The farm has six kilometers of the Umzimkhulu River for fishing between September and May, as well as several stocked dams. There are developed single tracks for mountain biking or trail running, which link to the Sani Spoors single track, providing guests access to many more kilometers of trails. A portion of the farm is a listed Protected Area, assisting in the conservation of key wildlife species in the area. Riverlea Farm is located two kilometers along the Bushmanu201au00c4u00f4s Nek Road, approximately eight kilometers from Underberg.
