Rockwood Lodges

Rockwood Lodges offers luxury self-catering accommodation across four distinct properties located in the Karkloof Nature Reserve and surrounding Midlands farmland of South Africa. Two of the properties, Rockwood Forest Lodge and Rockwood Mountain Cabin, are nestled within the private reserve and require high clearance vehicles for access, while Rockwood Farmhouse and Rockwood Farm Cottage are conveniently situated on the adjacent Spitzkop Farm.

The recently renovated Rockwood Karkloof Collection features award-winning accommodations, including a luxury four-bedroomed farm homestead and a two-bedroomed cottage, both equipped with WiFi. The two secluded wooden forest cabins, located deep within the indigenous forest, do not have WiFi access and require 4x4 vehicle access.

Each lodge provides daily servicing and comes equipped with basic condiments, linen, towels, and amenities. The standard lodges accommodate four guests in two rooms, featuring one king-size bedroom with an outdoor shower and bath, and a twin bedroom with shower and bath facilities. Guests should be aware of an unfenced dam on the property.

The location offers extensive recreational opportunities suitable for all ages, including mountain biking, fishing, hiking, and access to the Karkloof Canopy Tours, making it an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts and families seeking a peaceful retreat in natural surroundings.
