Roodegrond Rivierkamp

Roodegrond Rivierkamp is situated next to the river on a working citrus and potato farm, located 8 kilometers from Patensie. Guests are required to drive through the farm to reach the camping site, which is situated on the way to the Baviaanskloof, along the Gamtoos River.

The facility provides an ablution block with warm water showers, flushing toilets, and a wash area. Power for low-usage items, water, and braai drums are provided to guests. However, braai grids are not supplied, and guests are expected to bring their own. Braai wood is available at an additional cost, but must be pre-ordered. Pets are not allowed on the premises.

Guests can engage in various outdoor activities such as swimming, kayaking, fishing, hiking, or mountain biking, all undertaken at their own risk. The location is an ideal setting for outdoor ceremonies, with nature serving as the backdrop. Bathroom facilities and electricity are available on-site.

The campsite is presented as a beautiful location next to the Gamtoos River, where guests can enjoy a night under the stars, away from city lights. The spacious campsite allows for children to play safely while being continuously monitored. Quality time can be spent around the fire or in the water, rather than in front of a television. Guests have the freedom to choose where they would like to set up their tent within the campsite.
