Royal Madikwe

Royal Madikwe is a luxury safari lodge located in the Madikwe Game Reserve, a malaria-free area in South Africa. The lodge offers a 5-star luxury safari experience for families, groups of friends, and couples seeking to immerse themselves in the splendor of the African bush. It is situated within a one-hour flight or 4.5-hour drive from Johannesburg International Airport, making it an ideal safari destination to witness the famous Big Five (lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo) as well as endangered species like wild dogs and cheetahs.

Children of all ages are welcome at Royal Madikwe, where they can participate in an exciting kids' program and learn about their natural surroundings in a safe environment, while parents can relax by the poolside or join in on the fun. The lodge has won the "World Luxury Hotel Awards" in the Luxury Game Lodge category in 2010, 2011, and 2013. It offers accommodation on a per-person shared basis for a maximum of 12 guests in three free-standing Luxury Suites and one Royal Villa with spacious interiors, organic textures, and beautiful views, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the sights, sounds, and smells of the African bush.

Royal Madikwe Luxury Safari Lodge also offers the option of exclusive use of the whole lodge, providing a more personal and intimate experience ideal for small groups or families. The accommodation includes luxury suites, all meals (breakfast, lunch or high tea, and dinner), bottled water, tea and coffee with meals, fresh juices with breakfast, game drive beverages and snacks, transfers to/from Madikwe Western airstrip, two game drives daily, and bush walks. Additional services such as beverages, cigars, cigarettes, curio shop purchases, optional specialized safaris, reserve entry/landing fees, laundry service, and gratuities are excluded.

The lodge offers a private romantic dinner with complimentary sparkling wine as the perfect way to enjoy a special safari experience, as well as the option to add a couples massage in the privacy of the suite or on a private deck to rejuvenate the mind and body. A complimentary fun-filled kids' program is designed to ensure endless fun at Royal Madikwe, with activities such as T-shirt painting, doughnut decorating, animal tracking, face painting, arts and crafts, African beading, and storytelling.
