Rus 'N Bietjie L'Agulhas, constructed in 1938, is one of the last remaining old homes in L'Agulhas. It possesses a genuine fisherman cottage ambiance and is situated merely 30 meters from the ocean, in proximity to the charming and historically significant "Soldiers Pool" within the Mount Pleasant area.

Rus 'N Bietjie is a rustic little abode adorned with painted cement floors. Owing to its age, the house features a distinctive character, with some door frames originating from old boats, rendering them relatively low. The accommodation comprises three double bedrooms u2013 one room furnished with a double bed, and the remaining rooms equipped with single beds. The bathroom is outfitted with a toilet, washbasin, bathtub, and shower.

The fully-equipped kitchen features a four-plate stove and oven, a microwave, a fridge-freezer combination, a toaster, and all necessary utensils. Complimentary tea, coffee, and rusks are provided, along with washing liquid. The kitchen also offers lovely sea views. The sitting room and dining room house a small library and a TV, and by bringing your own decoder, you can access DStv as a dish is connected. Wi-Fi is also available on the premises.

The most popular area is likely the large undercover veranda and braai area overlooking the ocean, where ships navigating to and from Cape Town can be observed, and whales and dolphins are frequently spotted.
