Ruxmian Lodge is a centrally situated establishment in the Strand on the shores of False Bay. It is located approximately 48 kilometers from Cape Town and a 20-minute drive from Cape Town International Airport. The lodge is surrounded by the stunning Helderberg and Hottentots Holland Mountain Range. The Strand area features a pristine safe beach with white sand stretching for about 4 kilometers.

The lodge offers tastefully furnished rooms, and its facilities include a relaxed lounge, a loft/TV room with DSTV, a fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, air conditioning in all rooms, an undercover entertainment and braai area, and secure parking. Catering services are available upon request. Recently added amenities include two honesty bars, one at the entertainment area and another in the lounge at the fireplace.

Nearby attractions and activities include the Helderberg Nature Reserve, hiking trails, wine routes, swimming, surfing, kite surfing, fishing (both on-shore and off-shore), four golf clubs, restaurants, scenic routes, and shopping malls within close proximity to the lodge. The coastal stretch between the Lourens River mouth and Rooi Els is popular with beach fishermen and rock anglers, while organized and social diving activities cater to the more adventurous.

The deluxe room at Ruxmian Lodge is air-conditioned and features a queen-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower, a flat-screen TV with DStv, an electronic safe, a hairdryer, and a tea and coffee station.
