Salt Rock Lodge overlooks the world-famous surf breaks of J-Bay, The Point, Tubes, and Albatross. It is situated within walking distance of the legendary Supertubes. The lodge has an ideal location for surfers, digital nomads, and holidaymakers, offering amazing views of the ocean, lagoon, and mountains.

The family-run self-catering lodge is located in the quiet residential area of Wavecrest. It provides relaxed, home-from-home, clean, and cozy comfort. The lodge is solar-powered, ensuring no load-shedding hassles. Certain units are pet-friendly, allowing guests to bring their furry family members. The lodge is equipped with a workspace and free Wi-Fi, making it ideal for long-term stays.

The accommodation options include two self-contained flats and a self-contained middle section with up to three double bedrooms. The middle section has a pool table, table tennis, and an indoor braai with an amazing view of the ocean, lagoon, and mountains. Access to the middle section is shared with the owners who live on the upper level.

Guests can awake to views of golden sunrises over the ocean and enjoy various outdoor activities such as long walks on the famous shell-strewn beaches, beach fishing, mountain biking, trail running, hiking, horse riding, bird watching trails, sand boarding, kite surfing, wind surfing, sky-diving, or skateboarding. Surf schools are available for those wishing to learn how to surf, or guests can simply relax and watch the world's best board riders in action from the boardwalks. The lodge can also arrange motorbike enduro training and tours, deep sea fishing, whale watching tours, and tours to nearby game parks for those interested in viewing the Big 5.

As the sun sets behind the mountains, guests can relax and enjoy the views while watching schools of dolphins playing in the surf or migrating whales and their calves from July to December, all while sipping a sundowner before their evening braai (indoor barbecue in the main section).

The lodge is a five-minute stroll from the beach and a five-minute car journey from the local shopping area, which includes supermarkets, liquor stores, restaurants, and petrol stations. The Billabong village area offers top surf clothing brands at factory prices, a wide variety of quality restaurants, craft breweries, and coffee shops. The Fountains Shopping Mall and vibrant nightlife are another five-minute drive away.

The lodge can assist in organizing trips to nearby game parks, such as Addo and Shamwari, as well as exploring the beauty of the Baviaanskloof Mountain range, experiencing the thrill of the world's highest bungee jump, the beauty of the Karoo, or the wonders of the scenic Garden Route. Ample off-street parking is available.
