Samara Private Game Reserve is a private game reserve located in the Eastern Cape. It is the largest private game reserve in the region, spanning an area of 67,000 acres. The reserve offers two game activities per day, allowing guests to explore the area on foot or by vehicle. Samara is renowned for its tracking of wild animals, including cheetahs, aardvarks, rhinos, and elephants, which can be done on foot.

Samara provides accommodation options for both couples and families. It offers suites with private patios, fireplaces, air conditioning, luxury en-suite bathrooms, and outdoor showers. Couples can enjoy romantic experiences such as a bottle of sparkling wine, a private dinner on the suite's patio, and a complimentary massage.

For families, Samara has the Karoo Lodge, which welcomes children of all ages. However, children under the age of 8 are not permitted on game drives with other guests. The reserve offers a dedicated kids program. The Manor, on the other hand, does not allow children under the age of 14, except for sole-use bookings. Additionally, Samara has Karoo Family Suites, which are standalone cottages located within the grounds of Karoo Lodge, featuring two interconnected bedrooms.

For golfing enthusiasts, there is a 9-hole golf course located in the nearby town of Graaff-Reinet.
