The San Gabriel Historic Guest Farm is situated off the R44 between Somerset West and Stellenbosch, located between the foothills of the Helder- and Simonsberg. It was founded in the mid-1700s. The historic homestead features old oak trees, rose gardens, expansive lawns, and a secret forest. This classic Cape Dutch homestead is located in the heart of the Cape Winelands.

The San Gabriel Historic Guest Farm offers accommodation in the classic Cape Dutch Manor house as well as in 7 restored historical cottages. The Manor House features 4 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a spacious farm kitchen, a classic Cape Dutch lounge with a fireplace, a dining room, and a study cum library with a fireplace and a private pool.

The accommodations include Riverside Cottage overlooking the river, Willow Cottage overlooking the rose garden, Olive Cottage with a private patio and braai facility, Vineyard Quarters with a large kitchen and an original fountain view, Mr. Bickerton's Cottage overlooking the forest, Wisteria Family Cottage with a private veranda and 2 bedrooms, and Vineyard Family Cottage with a unique hallway kitchen and 2 bedrooms overlooking a rose garden and an original fountain.

All units are self-catering and equipped with a fridge, kettle, microwave, stove, and oven. They have essential amenities like lights, fridges, WiFi, and televisions that work during loadshedding.
