Sandford Park Country Hotel

Sandford Park Country Hotel is a historic establishment situated with views of the Drakensberg Mountains. It has an eclectic mix of old and new elements that appeal to one's senses. The hotel was established in 1850 as a British garrison for troops sent to relieve the besieged town of Ladysmith. The history of the region is reflected in the essence of the hotel.

Conveniently located off the N3 between Johannesburg and Durban, the hotel features 24 executive or twin rooms. It is set on 41 hectares of natural beauty and tranquility, taking advantage of the dramatic views of the Drakensberg Mountains. Visitors can escape to the country-style hotel and engage in activities such as bass fishing, bird watching, and nature walks.

The hotel has on-site facilities including a chapel, gardens (with a marquee available for hire), and a dining room. A maximum of 120 guests can be accommodated, with a choice of menus and wine list available. The 24 new executive rooms are finished with modern fittings, en-suite bathrooms with separate bath and shower, DStv, and private patios with stunning mountain views.
